Reverend Lisa Rzepka, Pastor
Lisa arrived at JCPC in February 2008 with her partners in ministry: husband, John, and three sons, Jake, Dylan, and Jesse. Originally from upstate New York, the Rzepkas moved to Baltimore in 1997. In conjunction with that move Lisa decided to move out of the Xerox world and into theological exploration. Graduating from Wesley Theological Seminary in 2002 she served as associate pastor at Providence Presbyterian in Fairfax, VA from July 2003 to January 2008.
Committed to lifelong learning, Lisa is currently working on her doctor of ministry degree with a Gospel and Culture emphasis at Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. She is fascinated by the deep cultural shifts that are taking place around the world and where God is being revealed in new and vibrant ways. She is excited about being a part of a congregation that values celebrating God’s revelation both through the tradition and in emerging, life-giving rituals.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, trying to garden, being a soccer and theatre mom, and anything that takes her outdoors to enjoy the fresh air, family and friends.
